A California community is marking Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with an apology for past actions against the Filipino-American community. During a meeting this week, Monterey County's board of supervisors adopted a resolution recognizing May as AAPI month and issuing an apology for a riot that occurred in Watsonville nearly a century ago.
