WATSONVILLE — A use permit and environmental review for a new warehouse and distribution center for Golden Brands are on the table for the Watsonville City Council at its Tuesday meeting. If approved, the item could result in the relocation of Golden Brands from its current location on Riverside Drive to a new location on a vacant 11.5-acre site at 200 Manabe Ow Road. According to a staff report by Community Development Director Suzi Merriam and Principal Planner Matt Orbach, the Manabe Ow property was primarily used for agricultural production before 2013 but has been vacant ever since.
